My cup of joy...

It was a school / college girl feeling... We bunked classes, only to gossip & dip our hands into paint!!

Have you been to Cafe Ceramique.... I love cafes... but this one is special!!

You walk in... and choose what you'd like to paint!! Let your creative mind get to work... Then ask for the paints that you will use...

In the meanwhile.... order your coffee... and start gossiping as well!!

I love this place... the decor is just right... Can you spot the long vase with paint brushes in them??

The lovely wrought iron chairs, wooden ceiling... and lots of ceramics around you.... set you in the right mood!!

A closer look at the floor...

The food is great as well....

You can paint... anything you want.... I painted my cup of joy..... for a special someone - who fills my life with joy!!

My cup of treasured memories...

My Home, My Magic- Home Tour

2010 is the absolute right reason to do a few monthly features on this blog…. My home, my magic – Home Tour is one such monthly feature. I’ve always believed that a home always creates a personal magic… and am hoping to share enchanting spaces that are both whimsical & full of character. The first feature is the home of Ms. Ahalya, the co-founder of Rasvihar. I have featured Rasvihar – the ultimate jewellery store sometime last year… and am delighted to feature Ms. Ahalya’s home!!

Ms. Ahalya insists that jewellery should have style, substance, and soul, if it is to communicate and be relevant to the user's life. I'm sure you will feel the same way about her home...

Her home is simple, yet warm, elegant, yet filled with so much love...

Full of substance.... yet you can relate to every room.... every corner...

I love the neutrals.... that create magic in these spaces...

Isn't it so cozy and homely?

Dont forget to visit the store - Rasvihar!! There is something in there for every one!!

Lets Go Green!

I'm sharing Simone's Go Green article.... Simple tips to Go Green ...
  1. Do not use plastic bags. Use reusable jute or cloth tote bags, that can be reused. Plastic bags cannot be reclycled.
  2. Don't waste paper - try and use both sides. Once used, always recycle paper.
  3. Turn the water off when you brush. There is no need to waste water.
  4. Turn off the lights, TV & Computer when not in use. Do not waste electricity.
  5. Give unwanted toys, books, cds & clothes away to charity or someone else who will use them.

Plant a tree...

& make the Earth smile..

Paint leftover

There was a little paint left from my wall... I sure could do with a display table... so painted a pallette... and this is how it looked.. My prices possession... sits proudly...
At times it also serves as a punishment corner...
I love decorating corner spaces... and constantly changing the way it looks.. Hence painting pallettes.. and getting rid of them at a later date... doesn't cost anything...
Do you have cheap decor ideas? Share them with me please...

Wall Art

Happy New Year to all... Thank you all for reading, commenting & constantly inspiring me... Thought I'll start the year with my favourite subject... - Painting a wall.... This is what we did one weekend in August.... A view from my mirror... The painting is not yet complete... but only I know where the flaws are - We've used all mediums of paint... normal wall paint, acrylic, pencils, crayons, sketch pens... everything we could find..
These blocks came all the way from Jaipur ... specially for my wall...
Another look...
Slowly my wall transformed into a canvas...
A complete view... of the wall...

A better view... with my dining table in the forefront..

Did you like it??? What do you think??
